Gran Brazil is a stone fabrication shop located in Madison, IN.
Prior to purchasing a PALADIN CNC stone router, Gran Brazil polished and profiled its countertops by hand.
“It’s been a game changer,” said Gran Brazil Owner, Daryl Dettmer.
The selling point for Dettmer was how easy the machine is to use, as well as BBM’s service and parts sales.
“The ease-of-use, the software— AlphaCam makes it simple to use,” said Dettmer.
Dettmer predominantly uses the PALADIN for commercial jobs, specifically, fabrication of raised L-shaped bars for apartments.
“They’re very difficult to polish, and obviously, you can’t do it with a straight-line polisher, and a normal laborer can only polish five to six, seven, maybe, a day, where on the PALADIN, you can run as many as 25 to 30 a day through on an 8-hour shift,” said Dettmer.
With commercial orders, Gran Brazil’s average production is about 15 to 20 slabs a day.
“And sometimes more than that, but without the PALADIN, there’s no way we could do the 15 to 20 slabs a day,” said Dettmer.
If you’re a fabricator who’s thinking of making the transition to automation, Dettmer’s advice is to invest in a PALADIN CNC stone router.
“If you can afford it, you’re crazy not to do it— BBM is the way to go,” said Dettmer.
